Graduated from Medical University of Poznań. Obtained his first degree of specialisation in orthopaedics and traumatology in 1999, four years later he obtained his second degree of specialisation, in 2005 he defended his doctoral thesis, and in 2015 he was awarded a postdoctoral degree. Tomasz Piontek is an international trainer of surgical techniques for knee and hip arthroscopy.
Tomasz Piontek has been an orthopaedic surgeon at Rehasport in Poznań since 2006. He previously worked, among others, at the Children's Orthopaedic Clinic in Poznań, was the first doctor of the Amica Wronki football team, and then held the same position at Lech Poznań. He has completed internships at the Balgrist University Clinic in Zurich, the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Traumatology at Queens Medical Centre in the UK, and the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the USA.
He is the author of modern surgical techniques such as articular cartilage and meniscus regeneration (AMIC).

Jakub Stefaniak works on a daily basis at the Rehasport clinic in Poznań, where he sees patients, operates and does research. Since 2018, he has been the Team Physician of the Polish Tennis Federation (PZT) and is a certified trainer of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA). He specialises in injuries and conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand and conducted research on bone defects in shoulder instability as his dissertation: "Value of two-dimensional and three-dimensional tomography in the assessment of bony defects of the acetabulum and humeral head in shoulder instability".
