His research interests focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the central nervous system in vascular and demyelinating diseases, treatment and rehabilitation of cognitive disorders and speech deficits after stroke, novel therapies for multiple sclerosis and imaging of intracranial vessels in transcranial ultrasound with colour imaging.

Pawlak is an assistant in the Department of Neurology and Vascular Diseases of the Nervous System at the MSWiA Hospital in Poznań, he worked in the Neuroradiology Section of the Radiology Department at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and in the Department of Neurology, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. The interests of prof. Trzaska, an orthopaedic surgeon from Poznań, focuses primarily on ligament reconstruction of the knee joint, knee dysplasia with reconstructive surgery and the use of biomaterials in knee surgery. Prof. Trzaska is the head of the Department of Sports Traumatology of the Faculty of Sports Medicine at the Academy of Physical Education in Poznań, consultant in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the J. Strusia Hospital in Poznań, consultant in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Hospital in Śrem.
Professor Tadeusz Trzaska is a member of the Polish Orthopaedic and Traumatological Society, chairman of the Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology Section, a member of the Polish Arthroscopy Society, the Polish Biomaterials Society, the Polish Sports Medicine Society, the European Section of Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy and the International Cartilage Repair Society - ICRS.
