MD, PhD Bartosz musielak

Graduate of the K. Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznan. Specialist in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, dealing with reconstructive surgery, limb lengthening, correction of limb deformities. Passionate about the Ilizarov method and its derivatives. He also specializes in the treatment of congenital and acquired defects of the musculoskeletal system in children.

Bartosz Musielak is the author of about 20 publications and dozens of scientific presentations at national and international congresses.

He has received several prestigious fellowships, including:

• 2012 - American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine Student Travel Scholarship.
• 2016 - European Pediatric Orthopaedics Society BAT Course Scholarship.
• 2017 - American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine OrthoPediatrics Travel Scholarship.
• 2018- EPOS Travelling Fellowship

Memberships of scientific societies: Polish Society of Pediatric Orthopedics (PPOS), European Society of Pediatric Orthopedics, Polish Arthroscopic Society (PTARTRO).

He is also currently an academic in the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics and Traumatology. In 2015, he was awarded the honorary title of “Amicus Studentium” of the Medical University of Poznan.

An avid basketball player (vice-champion of Poland under 16 in 2001; as a player, he was promoted to the second league with the AZS Politechnika Poznańska team in 2007; two-time gold medalist, one-time bronze medalist of the Polish Academic Championships of Medical Universities in basketball; vice-champion of Poland's doctors in basketball in 2013; in 2010, elected Athlete of the Year of the Medical University of Poznan).
