Since 2004 he has also been a doctor of the Olympic team of the Polish Sailing Association and co-author of four Olympic medals.

Graduate of the 8th Adam Mickiewicz Grammar School in Poznań, and in 1997 he received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the Karol Marcinkowski University in Poznań . Between 2000 and 2005 he completed a specialisation course in medical rehabilitation at the Wiktor Dega Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital in Poznań. In parallel, he did postgraduate studies in quality management in health care. He completed postgraduate studies at the International McKenzie Institute in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of spinal pain.

In 2006, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Poznan, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.

In 2004-2010, he was a member of the Board of the Wielkopolska Branch of the Polish Rehabilitation Association. He is one of the founders and a board member of the PRO MOTIO Association for Developmental Medicine and Functional Research of the Musculoskeletal System. A member of the Polish Spine Society. He has a number of scientific papers in rehabilitation, orthopaedics and sports medicine. Since 2006 a member of the medical staff of KKS Lech Poznań.

For years, he has skillfully combined medicine with his other passion: sailing. As a skipper he sailed Cadet and 470 class boats. He has won Polish Cups and medals at Polish and world championships in sailing and windsurfing. He is currently a competitor in the Formula Windsurfing Foil class. Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Gdansk (1992r) and since then has been an independent research and didactic employee of the Chair and Clinic of Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Allergology and Child Nutrition of the Medical University of Gdansk and the Endoscopy Lab at the "Copernicus" Hospital, where for over 25 years he has been performing endoscopic examinations of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract in the diagnostic and therapeutic range. Piotr Landowski is certified by the Polish Society of Gastroenterology to perform these tests. He did a six-month internship in surgical endoscopy at the Princess Fabiola Hospital in Brussels, where he obtained the right to practice medicine in Belgium. Belongs to the group initiating and establishing in the Pomeranian Voivodship the method and procedure of parenteral and enteral nutrition. Received his doctorate in medicine in 2001.

Piotr Landowski is the author or co-author of almost 200 scientific and didactic publications.
He is a member of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology, the Polish Society of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Child Nutrition and ECCO - European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation. Since 2000, he has been president of the "J-elita" Association for people suffering from inflammatory bowel disease.
In 2017, he received the "Sensitive Man" award at the Sensitive Festival given by the chronically ill community. During his work he participated in many national and international Scientific Conventions, Conferences and Symposia.
