The impact that injuries can have on a team's performance became clear last season. Throughout the year, the team dealt with numerous injuries, including several serious ones. Despite winning the Super Cup and Polish Cup, delivering an excellent performance in the EuroLeague, and coming just one basket short of defending the championship title, the club’s president is doing everything possible to avoid a repeat of last season's challenges.
Polish Vice-Champions with Professional Medical Support
Partnering with the highly respected orthopedic and rehabilitation clinic Rehasport will undoubtedly benefit the team. As the new Medical Partner of KGHM BC Polkowice, Rehasport brings nearly two decades of experience working with top Polish athletes and clubs in football, basketball, volleyball, and handball. Now, MKS Polkowice joins that elite group.
Under the agreement, Rehasport will provide medical services related to musculoskeletal injuries for both players and coaching staff. Crucially, the partnership also includes Biomechanical Functional Assessments, which help identify physical “weak points” in athletes’ bodies. Muscle strength tests and movement pattern analysis allow for early detection of injury-prone areas and the implementation of preventive measures. In addition, players will undergo body composition structural analysis.
