Conscious skier/snowboarder

How long does it take to prepare for a ski or snowboard trip? It depends on the starting point. If someone has been completely inactive, is overweight and perhaps struggles with other issues, then there is a problem.

However, if we are talking about a relatively active person, we can prepare a solid base in 4-6 weeks - this is the opinion of the motor preparation trainer from Rehasport. It is worth starting with general developmental preparation, i.e. regular gymnastics, and additionally practising falls, turns, charges or introducing elements of yoga. It is also important to remember not to focus only on preparing the lower body.

Only after some time can you start the second stage, which is to move on to work on strength, coordination or stability. It is then worth seeing a specialist. In the final stage before departure, the work involves strengthening the entire system of ligaments, tendons and muscles around the knee joint, but also around the hip and ankle joints.
