A graduate of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences. He had completed his doctoral studies at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences and Neuroradiology Division, Department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He is a neurology specialist. His research interests relate primarily to the central nervous system imaging in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI ), in vascular and demyelinating diseases, treatment and rehabilitation of cognitive and speech deficits following a stroke, modern methods of therapy for multiple sclerosis and intracranial vascular imaging in transcranial colour ultrasound imaging.
Mikołaj Pawlak is an assistant in the Department of Neurology and Vascular Diseases of the Nervous System of the Ministry of Interior Hospital in Poznan, he has worked in the Department of Radiology, Neuroradiology Unit at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and at the Department of Neurology, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in the United States. He belongs to the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS).
