Huge successes of Polish sailors

The summer season has just begun, but Polish sailors can already boast huge successes in the international arena. The first to fight for medals were windsurfers competing in the RS:X Olympic Class. The European Championships, in which a strong representation from our country participated, took place in Mondello, Italy. The Polish team did a great job: Paweł Tarnowski became the European Champion, Małgorzata Białecka won the silver medal, and Zofia Noceti-Klepacka won the brown one. High places were also secured by other national team members: Maja Dziarnowska (4) and Piotr Myszka (8).

Additionally, the Open 470 European Championships took place in Aarhus, Denmark. The Polish crew: Agnieszka Skrzypulec and Irmina Mrózek-Gliszczyńska secured a high, eighth place there, in this way confirming their belonging to the world’s top sportspeople. The same place was taken by Kacper Ziemiński, who competed in the Laser Standard Men’s World Championship, held on Lake Ontario in Kingston. In addition, two 49-er crews contributed to the Polish successes. In Porto, where almost all world’s top sailors were present, Łukasz Przybytek and Paweł Kołodziński won the European Championships bronze medals, while Tomasz Januszewski and Jacek Nowa finished in fifth place.

The Rehasport Clinic team, which works with Sailing Team Poland on a daily basis, offers you hearty congratulations!
