Two gold medals and one silver – it is an amazing achievement of our patient – Natalia Brzykcy from Poznań Academy of Judo. She is a world champion for deaf players. This competition took place in Turkish town – Samsun.
Natalia Brzykcy is Przemysław Lubiatowski’s and Tomasz Piontek’s patient. They helped her return to this exciting sport. In Turkey Natalia Brzykcy became the world champion (for +78kg), won the team competition, and in open competition won a silver medal. – It was the first time Natalia had won a gold medal in the championship. We are now concentrating on the next year’s Olympics in Samsun. Our intention is to win a gold medal because we haven’t got it yet – said Radosław Miśkiewicz, Polish judoka coach for deaf players, after he had returned from Turkey.
Aside from Natalia Brzykcy, her sister Agnieszka also won a medal (bronze) in Samsun. We must remember about Dominika Mateuszczyk who also joined the winning group. In the final our representatives defeated Turks 2:1. Polish team thanked the Polish Deaf Sport Association and Poznań Municipal Office for an opportunity to take part in the competition. In her emotional entry after the competition, Natalia Brzykcy thanked Przemysław Lubiatowski and Tomasz Piontek from Rehasport Clinic, as well as Kamila Hartwig who took care of her.
Once again CONGRATULATIONS on your amazing achievement and we wish you another medal during the Olympics!
