The regatta, taking place on Lake Kierskie for the 38th time, belongs to the Energa Sailing Cup cycle – it is a competition of group A of the Optimist class. They attract the most talented young sailors from Poland, who struggle for the points for the final classification of the Energa Sailing Cup cycle. The forty best of them will compete in the final regatta in Sopot for exceptional prizes – inclusion into a special fund for the development of young talents Energa Sailing Development Program starting next season. In effect, as many as thirteen sailors will receive the financial support from the Polish Sailing Association and the Energa Group. The main goal of the entire regatta cycle is the presentation of sailing as a model school of sports and life. Rehasport Clinic has its contribution in this – our clinic is a medical partner of the regatta, and dr Maria Wolff-Stefaniak and dr Jakub Stefaniak are going to take care of the young sailors.
The regatta in Kiekrz starts on Friday, July 31, and closes on Sunday, August 2, when the official award ceremony will take place.
