Bartłomiej Jaszka, a Poland men’s national handball team player, underwent a shoulder operation in Rehasport Clinic. Right now the centre backcourt of Fuchse Berlin is facing a several-week-long rehabilitation, and if everything goes according to the plan, he will be ready to play in the World Championship in January of the next year.
Jaszka is one of the essential players of the Polish national team – he plays in the centre of the backcourt. He is also a player of the leading team of the German Handball-Bundesliga, Fuchse Berlin, which has won the DHB Cup. The handballer from Ostrów Wielkopolski has been suffering for a couple of months from the right shoulder injury. The operation was performed last week in Rehasport Clinic by dr hab. Przemysław Lubiatowski. It turned out to be a success, but now Jaszka has to face a hard, several-week-long work connected with rehabilitation. If it proceeds without disturbances, the backcourt of the Poland national team will be able to appear in the World Championship, taking place in January 2015 in Qatar. The white-and-reds have already managed to win over the German team twice in the play-offs without his presence. The World Championship is also a chance to obtain the Olympic qualification.
