Rehasport Clinic as a Medical Partner of the Polish Handball Federation by the end of 2020!

Rehasport Clinic retains the position of an official Medical Partner of the Polish Handball Federation. The agreement signed in Warsaw will remain in force by 31 December 2020.

Rehasport Clinic has been a Medical Partner of the Polish Handball Federation since July 2013. A new agreement was signed in the head office of Rehasport Clinic in Warsaw by Andrzej Kraśnicki, a president of the Polish Handball Federation, and dr Witold Dudziński, a president of the Rehasport Clinic.

– I am truly happy that the Polish Handball Federation and Rehasport Clinic will cooperate until 2020. In the space of last couple of years many Polish handball players have undergone surgeries in Rehasport clinics. All of them emphasize professional service and outstanding care provided in our clinics – says Andrzej Kraśnicki, a PHD president.

Handball is a very intensive and contact sport discipline. For this reason a regular medical care is obligatory for our players. Rehasport is a renowned professional and highly-valued clinic, both in Poland and abroad. This is a clinic which provides national team players with comprehensive top-quality medical care – stresses the representative of the Federation.

– We started cooperating nearly four years ago and I am happy that this cooperation satisfies both of us. Back then we presented our idea of professional sport and modern trainings based on latest technologies. For us, the phrase “medical partner” is not only related to injury treatments but also to many other fields, e.g. mental – the entire process of preparing players for competition. We intend to go in this direction and we do hope that our efforts under the second stage of our cooperation will result in the Olympic medal in Tokyo – says dr Witold Dudziński, a Rehasport Clinic president.

Rehasport Clinic specialists will provide Polish representatives with medical care with respect to motor organ injuries as well as their diagnostics and rehabilitation. Additionally, the cooperation will involve dietician’s advice and supplementation tips as well as biomechanical tests and maximum oxygen consumption tests. Cyclical trainings related to medical issues will be dedicated not only to players but also national medical staff.

All diagnostics and treatment methods as well as prevention programs are based among others on Rehasport Clinic’s researches which comply with world standards.

This applies to treatment techniques, monitoring and anticipating return to sport. The data on injuries are collected in accordance with own program and based on modern IT solutions. To prove the recognition, it is necessary to emphasize the fact that PhD Przemysław Lubiatowski has been invited for the research network of the European Handball Federation.

At present Polish national team players are provided with care by the following Rehasport Clinic orthopedists: doctor Tomasz Owczarski, responsible for male team, and doctor Paweł Sokołowicz, cooperating with women. Still, a few dozen persons take care of our male and female handball players of all age on a regular basis. In the last couple of years the following persons have been treated either after or before important competitions: Michał Jurecki, Piotr Wyszomirski, Iwona Niedźwiedź, Kinga Achruk and Mariusz Jurkiewicz.

Rehasport Clinic treats its patients in Warsaw, Poznań, Gdańsk and Konin.
