We all have our ‘ideal body weight’, which depends on several factors, including the type of body build. However, each discipline has specified reference values of body weight, which mainly refers to the proportion of body fat, assuming that the athlete is perfectly prepared and it is his optimal weight.
There are several methods for assessing body fat in the body. In our clinic, we use two methods. One is bioimpedance using Tanita scales, and the second method, for highly specialized competitors, is a method of measuring the skin- fold fat, according to ISAK (International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry).
The essence of the body weight test is to check if the player is following his/her the nutritional plan or indicating nutritional mistakes. The condition of undergoing the test is being systematic in measurements.
