Rehabilitation program after removal of part of the hip labrum

Basing on our long-term experience and cooperation with Polish top sportspersons, we have developed an advanced rehabilitation program that follows removal of the part of the hip labrum. Thanks to the program, it will be possible to regain full capabilities safely and fast. You must know that a surgery is just the first step forward, but it is the rehabilitation and your commitment that determine the final success. Rehabilitation lasts 12 weeks. Remember that this period may change and is always adapted to your progress by the doctor and physiotherapist.

Rehabilitation after removal of part of the hip labrum

Your first post-surgery rehabilitation will take place in Rehasport Clinic 14 days after the treatment, shortly after the medical checkup at the doctor’s. The first weeks of intensive rehabilitation will be devoted to reduction of pain and swelling, regaining full range of movement, as well as rebuilding muscle strength. Initially, to move you will need two crutches, but after two weeks –  one crutch or with full load on lower limbs. After three weeks you will be able to drive a car and walk without crutches. Four weeks after the surgery your rehabilitation will intensify and will end with the Functional Biomechanical Assessment (during the twelfth week after the surgery). If the results are satisfying, you will be ready to be back to sport with full load and this also means that your rehabilitation program has ended.
