Remember that this period may change and is always adapted to your progress by the doctor and physiotherapist.

Rehabilitation after removing femoroacetabular impingement of the hip joint

Your first post-surgery rehabilitation will take place in Rehasport Clinic 14 days after the treatment, shortly after the medical checkup at the doctor’s. The first weeks of intensive rehabilitation will be devoted to reduction of pain and swelling, regaining full range of movement as well as rebuilding muscle strength. Initially you will need two crutches to move, after the period of three weeks – one crutch. After about four weeks you will be able to drive a car and walk without crutches. To complete the rehabilitation, you must undergo the Functional Biomechanical Assessment which is performed during the fourteenth week after the surgery. If the results are satisfying, you will be ready to be back to sport with full load and this also means that your rehabilitation program has ended.
