The patient is discharged depending on the clinical condition and the type of treatment – the discharge usually takes place the next morning, after doctor’s rounds and dressing change.
On the day of discharge, you shall receive your hospital treatment information card.
Recommendations can be found in the postoperative hospital treatment card.
In case of medical recommendations allowing early recovery, free of charge instructions will be given at the Rehasport Clinic Hospital.
The date of the post-operative visit will be determined by our secretary and placed in Hospital Treatment Card. The first post-operative medical visit is free of charge.
The time of dressing changes and stitches removal is determined by the attending doctor. In case of damage, dirt or getting the dressing wet, please contact your doctor or change the dressing in the treatment or nursing room, at an orthopedic office or visit your family doctor. Otherwise, postoperative dressing change is done by the physician, during rounds, according to the time and day stated in the discharge. The sutures are removed 10-14 days after surgery (usually during the first post-operative visit).
Prescriptions for recommended medicaments and information about their dosing will be attached to the discharge.
