This year the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam hosts top European athletes for whom the European Championship is the last serious test before the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Polish players are supported by Rehasport Clinic physiotherapists – Maciej Biegański, Bartosz Kiedrowski and Radosław Hojszyk.
Amsterdam competition will be held from 6 July (Wednesday) to 10 July (Sunday). For many sportsmen it is the last chance to make it to the Olympics. Polish national team is composed of 33 women and 40 men. Polish representatives will be supported by the following Rehasport Clinic physiotherapists: Maciej Biegański, Bartosz KIedrowski and Radosław Hojszyk. Maciej and Bartosz have been cooperating with sprinters for a long time, whereas Radosław with hammer throwers – Paweł Fajdek, Malwina Kopron and Joanna Fiodorow.
The competition takes place at the Olympic Stadium which was build in the capital city of the Netherlands before the Olympic Games in 1928. In the course of a 20-year renovation, its capacity was reduced to reach about 20 thousand seats.
Previous European Championship was held in 2014 in Zurich – Poles got as many as 12 medals – two gold, five silver and five bronze medals. Anita Włodarczy in hammer throwing and Adam Kszczot in 800-meter run will defend the championship titles.
